Freshman Brooke Ahn hit a hole-in-one on the Champions Course at the Bridge’s of Firewheel during a tournament hosted by Richardson High School.

The shot was on the par-3 fifth hole. Ahn’s club of choice for the 83 yard hole was a sand wedge. Her dad is a big golfer and witnessed the once in a lifetime shot.

“It was a cool experience to share with my dad,” Ahn said. ”We’ll remember this for a long time.”

This was the golf team’s second hole-in-one in just over a year following junior Camden Rafferty’s hole-in-one last year. According to the National Hole-in-One Registry, an “average player” has a 12,000 to 1 chance of making a hole-in-one.

“Everytime something like this happens it’s just elation and excitement,” coach Russell Simmons said.
