The story of Jakub Procházka is one of great ambition and sacrifice. Orphaned at a young age, he was raised by his loving grandparents in the Czech countryside. Despite his humble beginnings, Jakub became the country’s first astronaut, embarking on a dangerous solo mission to Jupiter.
This movie was an incredible piece of art. This film delivers deep messages and valuable lessons that we can all take into our lives. At one point or another, we all struggle to see the person right in front of us and this film reminds us of the importance of doing so. You could be completely blind to your actions’ effects on others and the neglect you may even unintentionally give them.
I’ve noticed that many people are criticizing this movie for being boring and lacking a plot, but I don’t believe that’s the case. Some people might not understand that not all movies need to be high in action and excitement. The plot of this movie is centered around self-discovery and reflection. It’s about learning to value and cherish the people we love and understanding them for who they truly are.
Inspired by movies like ‘Cast Away’ and ‘Interstellar’ this movie is a great achievement and I love it. I would suggest embracing the unknown and not judging by first impressions. The silence (loneliness) is exactly the point, it confronts with the inner self, a space that might be just as vast and unknown as the outer space. In this space, everything that was ever been felt, heard, and seen builds up and it does determine who we are and how we behave.
Sure this might not be Adam Sandler’s best work in his filming career but it was decently good. The idea was ok and the execution was decent, to say the least. Editing was okay but I wouldn’t consider it anywhere near top tier. The scenery and plot of the movie were just meh. It doesn’t meet the expectations I had for this movie and its amazing genre. I’ll give it a 6.8 out of 10 because nothing stands out to me.
