I blinked and all of a sudden I was half way through my high school years , my sophomore year is coming to an end. How am I closer to the grade where I start looking at colleges and seen as an upperclassmen then the summer where I was going into my first year of high school thinking I’d either get the High School Musical experience or get shoved into lockers no in between.
“ Before you know it , it will pass by,” said Sophie Ocampo , a sophomore at Sachse High School.
Whether you’re a sophomore or you’re in a different grade I recommend soaking it all in . I know there will be times when you are annoyed thinking that the school year is going by slowly or taking forever because I thought that but I was so wrong suddenly my freshman year felt like it was like 4 months ago. I recommend taking your school year day by day, making memories, putting yourself out there and taking pictures for memories. You’re an adult longer than you are a teen, so enjoy your high school years. They’ll be over before you know it . So don’t try to grow up too quickly. It might not seem like it now but in the future you’ll regret it for one reason or another.
“I like the person I’ve become this year,” said Leo Furr, a sophomore at Sachse High School.
Not just your sophomore year but every year in high school you will learn a lot about yourself. You will go through situations and surround yourself with people who are going to shape you and change you. So I recommend that you surround yourself with the right people who won’t put you in rough situations that you don’t want to be in. And if you do end up being in one of those situations don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself and stay true to yourself and your own morals you set for yourself.
“Choose your friends wisely,” said Julianne Narvaez , a sophomore at Sachse High school.
I’m sure you know by now that life is all about learning lessons. Even if you don’t know it you could be doing something or talking to someone that in the future you’ll look back on it and realize you learned something from it . There are some lessons you’ll learn that are good, however on the other hand you could also go through something that hurt you or hurt someone you know and learn a lesson from it . Those lessons aren’t necessarily bad ones because at the end of the day they do teach you something but they don’t feel the best when you’re going through it.
“Spend it wisely with the right people,” said Masen Benevidez , a sophomore at Sachse High
