Few Hours before the NFL Draft
The NFL Draft is gonna start in a few hours at 7:00pm ET. Before it starts all the analyst talks about the players, the teams and who has what pick. Before the draft starts some players that are expected to be drafted that night show up to walk the stage/carpet and greet fans and reporters to talk about the evening ahead of them. Some players walk the carpet including Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, and a lot more players. So far there have been no trades in the draft yet surprisingly. The reason why that is so surprising is because usually by now there has been some type of trade that happens with picks before the draft but this one no.
The Draft Starts now
The NFL Draft has officially started and the first team is on the clock. The Tennesee Titans are on the clock and before the draft you can predict who goes at what pick and what team. So many analysts had Cam Ward QB go to the Titans, but is that gonna happen? With the First Pick the Titans selected Cam Ward which was pretty predictable but a good pick by them and hopefully they get their Franchise QB.
The 2nd Pick is the Cleveland Browns and they are on the clock and people expect them to pick Travis Hunter, who plays WR and CB but then the unexpected happens. The Jackonsilve Jags traded their 5th Pick next year’s first round pick and some seconds for the 2nd Pick so they could Draft Travis Hunter. Crazy trade nobody saw coming the Jags did get them a great generational talent because he plays WR and CB two positions at the next pro level is something we don’t really see.
The Giants are on the Clock with the 3rd Overall pick and the obsovious guy to get is Abdul Carter. What did they do? They drafted him. He is an absolute beast on defense sacks any QB he wants to.
The 4th pick the Patriots are on the clock they need Oline so they can block for their franchise QB Drake Maye so they get a Monster named WIll Campbell. Really good best oline man in the draft. When he got picked and walked the stage he said “I’m gonna fight and die to protect my quarterback” He got a big round of apllose and then the next team was on the clock.
The Browns are on the clock again but this time they actually draft somebody and they draft a DT Mason Graham.
The Raiders are on the clock and here at this pick they get a good electrifying guy who almost won the Hiseman this year. The Raiders drafted Ashton Jeanty RB and he is gonna be a superstar he is good be one of the best runingbacks in the league.
Pick 7-11
The Jets are on the clock with the 7th pick and they get Armand Membou OT to help protect their QB Justin Feilds. With the 8th pick The Panthers take the first WR off the board and get Tetairoa McMillan, who is a big tall WR who can go up and definitely snag the ball from you. The 9th pick in the draft the Saints got Kelvin Banks Jr OT which was shocking because Saints fans wanted them to get a QB like Shadeur Sanders. The 10th pick in the draft the Bears got Tight End Colston Loveland which was good. They have good weapons so many of them are now so intersting but good picks. The 11th pick in the Draft, the 49ers are on the board Mykel Willams DL.
The Hometown Dallas Cowboys Pick
The Cowboys had the 12th pick in the draft and everybody thought the cowboys were finally gonna draft a WR and finally get somebody on the other side of Ceedee Lamb. But with the 12th pick the cowboys got a olineman Tyler Booker plays Guard. Originally everybody was mad because even though we needed that position, everybody wanted a WR. But after watching the film , seeing him talk and how happy he was to be a cowboy, fans knew he was gonna be a dog. So in the end people are happy about this pick.
Picks 13-20
The Dolphins had the 13th pick and they selected Kenneth Grant DT. With the next pick at 14 the Colts got Tyler Warren Tight End, a good pickup for them. The 15th pick the Falcons building up that defense even better and getting Jalon Walker Linebacker. With the next pick the Cardinals got Walter Nolan with the 16th pick. The Bengals are now on the clock at 17 and with their pick they get Shemar Stewart Edge rusher. The Seahawks are next with the 18th pick and they select Grey Zabel offensive lineman. The Bucs are now on the clock and now finally another WR is off the board. With the 19th Pick the Bucs selected Emeka Egbuka, an absolute stud with great talent. With the 20th pick the Denver Broncos selected Jahdae Barron CB from Texas as a good cornerback.
Pick 21 Derrick Harmon
With the 21st pick the Steelers select defensive tackle Derrick Harmon. This player is really good and sadly while he got drafted his mom was in the hospital, so as soon as he got drafted he drove to see his mom and tell her he was drafted she was happy but sadly after she passed away. Even though it is sad she passed away it is still good she was hanging off enough to see her son make it pro which is a very wholesome thing to see. That day was Derrick best but also worst day of his life
Pick 22-24
The Chargers are on the clock for the 22nd pick with that pick they selected a Running Back Omarion Hampton from UNC. The 24th pick Donovan Jackson went to the Vikings he plays OT. But wait I forgot the 23rd pick.
The 23rd Pick
The 23rd Pick is the Green Bay Packers and the reason why this pick was special was because they hosted this draft night in Green Bay this Year. And the pick they got was pretty shocking because they haven’t picked one of these positions in the first round in over 20 years. So with the Packers 23rd pick they selected Matthew Golden WR out of Texas where he is a dog.
25th Pick Big Trade Texans Giants
The Texans traded this pick to the Giants and the Giants got their QB for the future hopefully and they got Jaxson Dart.
26-32 Pick
The Falcons had a pick again and they selected James Pearce Jr with the 26th Pick he is an edge rusher. With the 27th pick the Ravens got another good piece for their defense Malaki Starks Saftey. With the 28th pick the Lions selected DT Tyliek Willams. The Commanders with the 29th pick selected a DT as well and got Josh Conerly Jr. The 30th pick of the Buffalo Bills selected Cornerback Maxwell Hairston. The fact about him is that every player that got drafted before him he dapped up every single one. The 2nd to last pick in the first round the Eagles selected Jihaad Campbell Linebacker. The last pick in the first round, the Kansas City Chiefs selected Josh Simmons OT.
Winners and Losers of first round
Starting off with the Winners, the main teams that were winners in the first round were the Giants, Jags, Raiders, Patriots, and Ravens. The Giants got two players , Abdul Carter and Jaxson Dart. The Jags got a generational talent in Travis Hunter. The Raiders got Ashton Jeanty which is a really good running back could have won the hiseman. The Patriots getting Will Campbell such a leader in the oline group. And last the Ravens getting a good Saftey Malaki Starks which makes that defense insane. The Losers of the draft were Shedeur Sanders, Will Johnson, and Falcons. I’m saying Sheduer because he was projected first round and didn’t even get selected. Also saying Will Johnson because he is the top corner in this class but sense he had an injury he fell out the first round. The last loser is the Falcons because they picked the same position twice in the first round. That is the draft. What are your opinions of the draft?
