January 22 The U.S. The Supreme Court overturned the placement of barbed wire on the Texas border. In order to control the illegal immigration problem since Illegal immigration has been an ongoing problem in Texas for many years now.
In order to control the conflict, in a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court permitted the Biden administration and federal agents to cut up the wires along the Texas-Mexico border through the Department of Homeland Security v. Texas. Texas placed wire razors over a river in Eagle Pass, Texas. These razor wires were created as barriers to stop illegal immigrants from crossing the border.
Once these wires were installed, not long after installment, these wires were to be removed by federal agents. Their reasoning for this was that there have been unconscious bodies floating above the water around Eagle Pass, and because of the wires, it would keep people from saving these unknown people since they can’t be saved or have their body recovered.
Under an existing law, the government has the rights and is in charge of all immigration policies. The government is also is allowed to override any state immigration policy as they please.
But the Texas National Guard refuses to move out of the way to let the federal agents cut the razor wires. This permits a standoff between the Texas National Guards and the Federal agents on the Texas Border.
The Department of Homeland Security, which oversees the Border Patrol, had given Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton until Friday to announce that the state would relent and allow federal agents inside Shelby Park. On Friday, however, Paxton refused that demand, saying Texas state officials would not allow DHS to turn the area into an “unofficial and unlawful port of entry.”
With the government calling his actions inhumane and insane Greg Abbott countered those claims by saying he is doing whatever he can to protect his state from this “invasion”.With more than 300,000 illegal migrants flocking every month up to the southern border looking for a better life. Things aren’t getting any better as records are still being shattered.

Gov Abbott is right. The border must be closed. Those who try to enter illegally do so at their own peril. Texas and the US are not responsible for their safety.
