After two years off, the annual choir dinner show returns Saturday, Feb. 5

The theme, “Just Dance,” incorporates songs with popular dances or songs that have the word “dance” included in the lyrics or title.

The show features four different choirs, Women’s Chorale, Mixed Men’s, A Capella, Mixed Women’s, as well as the two select groups Spur of the Moment and Mane Attraction.

Featured soloists will perform between the larger group performances.

One of the soloists, senior Hanah Galt, is singing “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston.

“I think the hardest part about my audition was that since I’m co-captain of the drill team, I had to do a virtual audition,” Galt said. “It was a bit hard for me because I had to set up the phone and it wasn’t live.”

Because of COVID-19, the choir is not able to provide a catered dinner at the event, but guests are encouraged to bring their own take-out meal to eat during the dinner show. They are providing a cupcake with every ticket purchase.

“I’m very excited to get to hear all the people that get a chance to sing solos,” Mixed Women’s Choir freshman Riley Duggan said.

The show starts at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Tickets are available online at https://sachsehschoirs.ludus.com
