The senior class is hosting the 18th Annual Sachse High School Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. The race will start and finish at the entrance of the school near the flagpole. 

The 1K walk/run starts at 8 a.m. followed by the 5K walk/run at 8:30 a.m.  

Participants may register online through Nov. 24 at https://runsignup.com. The registration fee until Nov. 24 is $25 and goes up to $30 the day of the run.  Runners can also register in person the day of the run starting at 7 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Class of 2022.

First, second and third place male and female winners will be awarded in the different age categories. The award categories include 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up.  The 5K Golden Gobbler Award goes to the oldest runner at the event, and there will be overall male and female first place winners in the 5K.
