The Lady Mustangs are on a roll  with eight straight district wins and five remaining games in district and then playoffs.

The latest district game was a dominating win against Wylie 61-34 after pulling away 21-8 in the first quarter and never looking back.

The Lady Mustangs’ most commanding wins in district were a huge 72-19 win against South Garland and a 65-20 win against Garland.

In early tournament play they had some growing pains with a 44-36 loss to 12th in the state Cedar Hill, and a 72-36 loss to third in the state Duncanville–both really talented teams.

The last game of the regular season for the Lady Mustangs is against the rival Rowlett Eagles who will be looking for a win after losing by only four points in the first match-up.

“We are playing really well,” senior Adhel Tac said. “We haven’t lost in a long time, and we only need a few more wins to go undefeated in district again and see how far we can go in the playoffs.”

The Lady Mustangs have been itching to get back to the playoffs after their unexpected exit last season, and you can bet they will have something to prove come playoff time.

Last season they lost a heart breaker to Allen deep into the playoffs after going 32-5 during the year and finishing the season ranked 23rd in the state. The Lady Mustangs are currently ranked 43rd in the state.
