Students travel internationally this summer

From visiting the Eiffel Tower to dining in the Latin Quarter, this summer students will travel to Paris and Barcelona for a once in a lifetime trip.

“This year is the second time we have ever had a tour to Europe,” Spanish III teacher Henry Pabón said. “This one is special because it includes Barcelona. The tour in 2012 only had Paris.”

The trip is scheduled from May 26 to June 2. The tour begins in Paris, and the group will travel by train to Barcelona. Along the way, the group will visit the Champ de Mars, Place Vendôme and the Eiffel Tower over the eight-day trip.

“The itinerary is in the packet, but it includes visiting places like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Columbus Monument and the Louvre Museum,“ Pabón said.

Pabon said the trip offers students a chance to visit the places they have learned about in their language classes or social studies classes.

“I decided to go on this tour because I have always wanted to go to Paris, and this is the cheapest trip I have seen,“ freshman Elizabeth Lewis said. “I think will be a great time for me and my sister to bond as well as learn about the culture of Paris and Barcelona.“
