Name brands, a huge deal in today’s society, what you wear, drive, use can determine your financial status to others but is it really as luxury as it sounds? Many of Chinese factories have been posting TikToks exposing brands like LuluLemon and Birkin for making users believe these items are considered luxury when they are really made for really cheap in Chinese factories.  These companies allegedly lure people into the purchase of a name brand item. These exposures are doing this as a clap back to high tariffs placed by current president, Donald Trump. 

These videos have taken the media by storm as more and more factories keep speaking up on this insane confrontation on expensive brands. 

Many Americans are shocked to their core as more and more exposure of name brands keep on flowing their way into people’s heads. These factories in China are the direct manufacture of things like Lululemons clothing fabric, Birkin purses, and gucci watches and more. These ¨luxury¨ items are allegedly made in Chinese factories making their initial value very cheaper than it is here in the U.S. For example, lululemon leggings cost 118$ here in America with the name brand logo slapped on it, but in China the same exact pair will only cost you 5$. These Chinese factories are basically saying ¨Hey, don’t be dumb enough to fall for a huge money scheme, these products are not as luxury as they may seem.¨. 

That Birkin purse somebody paid 30,000 dollars for sitting in their bedroom only cost China 5 bucks to make. This is opening the eyes to many Americans and causing the start of many boycotts across the U.S. 

From personal experience, yesterday I was doing my daily scroll on TikTok and found a young adult woman who had posted a video on her want to boycott these luxury brands. This video had about 30,000 likes most likely by people who are in with her on the boycott and many comments with phrases such as ¨On it¨ and ¨Yes, everyone needs to boycott¨. 30,000 people may not be a lot but that number will rise as more evidence and stories come out on ¨luxury¨ brands. 

In these videos being posted factory tours, cost breakdowns, and even tips on how to buy directly from the manufacturers are explained and shown in the video. Many users have tried to go on these manufacturer websites but our blocked due to the common error ¨Not available in your country or region¨ Does the U.S not want Americans finding out the truth?

These product manufacturers have the responsibility of making the product for very cheap and then shipping it to the U.S for logo installation and adding a few other of their touch ons to make the product look as expensive as it can be. 

For the people thinking these alleged factory workers are trolls, many of them have shown proof of uniforms, products being made, and show proof of producing goods for many U.S luxury brands.

The next time you think about spending a whole paycheck for Lululemon athletic wear or save up for something from Gucci, think about a better way that load of money can go to something that isn’t a huge marketing scam.  After all, seeing such a ¨luxury¨ item now with a price tag of 1000$ will really have you think ¨How much was this to make?¨
