Senior Kyle Scritchfield will compete in the 50 yard freestyle competition at the Texas state swim and dive meet in Austin. 

Scritchfield is the first SHS student to ever make it to the state event. He will compete in the swims prelims on Friday, Feb. 18. If he makes it into the top 16, he will compete in the finals on Saturday. 

Faculty and students gathered in the hallways on Thursday, Feb. 17, for a hallway pep rally to send him off to Austin.
