Senior Kaitlyn Collins qualified for solo musical during the recent Virtual Texas Thespian State Festival.  The honor gives her the chance to compete at the International Thespian Festival in the summer of 2021.

Five other theatre students also attended the virtual festival along with Collins. The conference offered students the opportunity to participate in theatre workshops over Zoom, watch shows, and hear from many theatre performers and playwrights. 

“Qualifying in the solo musical category feels like such a big accomplishment,” Collins said, “because I can see how much all my work in theatre has played off and how far I have come personally.”
